By itself that wouldn't be so bad since it's their time and their business. It's certainly no worse than a hobby, which by definition isn't even intended to produce anything useful. However, the big problem I have is when these people try to convince others that don't know enough to know it's all a load of manure. That's where the real damage gets done to society.
