The important thing to figure out is whether the cell has a =20 "protection" board attached to it (usually a small pcb in between the =20 foil connectors that go into the batter guts and the wires that go to =20 the main board, with components on it), or whether it's a bare cell =20 with all the electronics on the main PCB. Most of the LiPo cells you =20 can buy are bare, and replacing a protected cell with a bare cell =20 would be "not good." (definitions of "not good" ranging from "becomes =20 completely discharged and can never be charged again" and "venting =20 with flames.")
