Assuming you've verified that your unit meets all the manufacturer's
written specifications then you've answered your own question, as
the worst it could be is "all but one" that are bad. q.e.d.

Now on to the speculation..
I imagine the ones he sells are likely also made in China, just he's
touting the supposed advantages of dealing with domestic local
middleman, while implying (yet not explicitly stating) that they
could be made in USoA. "USA Quality" !=3D "Made in USA" or even
"Assembled in USA".

Although possible, I highly doubt they're manufactured in the house
located at his business address.

Ask him where exactly they are made-- I bet you get a shifty answer
("they are shipped from our facility in..", no answer, or the above
is confirmed.
