What manner of inductive load?

It's not unusual to have ratings for pf < 1.0, for motor loads,
and/or for ballasts, all of which are inductive loads.

Something that's almost purely inductive (say a big solenoid with
no suppression) is an unusual type of load and will not be kind to
the contacts.
