The DSO Quad from Seedstudio is likely to be a much more useful tool. It's $199 but I think it represents good value for the specifications. It has 4 channels, and the latest version will go up to 144MSa/s in single channel mode, or 2 channels at 72MSa/s which significantly opens up it's possibilities compared to the basic 1MSa/s device. It also includes waveform generation and onboard 2MB storage for waveform captures.
