I have both an 18F4550 and 18F4455 here, but it's been a while=20 since I used either - typical.. :-) With the enabling of the secondary port - IIRC the programming is=20 actually available on either straight away, just the debug port needs to=20 be set in the config bits. This means you can set it up however you=20 want, and only use one port.
