It is possible.  I have not done it myself, but there schematics on the web=
 to
do just that.  Usually one is more interested in not just a resistance, but
drain current for the battery discharge.  You can put a small current sense
resistor between source and ground and control g-s voltage to achieve desir=
ed
current draw.=20
