Switzerland isn't part of of EU, and actually only recently joined UN.

I drove anti-clockwise from Geneva to Geneva in mid 1980s and the only=20
noticable aspect of entering France was the large Advertising=20
Billboards. (also common in Ireland in at random countryside locations).=20
Never noticed any in Switzerland.

UK (N.I.) and Irish Border posts long gone and never stopped cars. (The=20
security checkpoints usually somewhere else). UK awkwardly didn't adopt=20
Euro, though it's widely accepted in some N.I. towns.
