Three things that are common, recurring questions with Piclist mail are the GMail issue, which is that GMail will not show you your own posts. As far as I know, there are no GMail settings to fix it. You can use the "ack" feature in your Piclist settings if you need confirmation of your posts: http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist The second issue is gray/blacklisting, when an ISP *cough*RoadRunner*cough* decides Piclist mail is spam for about a week. Pretty much you just have to wait out the week. Follow the Piclist via the archive for that week:=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/postbot.asp The last issue is when people send mail to the list with a return address that is not the one they subscribed under, and their messages are thrown away. I usually catch them and will let you know what the problem is. Troubleshooting should always start by checking the Piclist archive for today/yesterday's messages: http://www.piclist.com/techref/postbot.asp You can deduce a lot that way, such as: Is the Piclist alive, or is it just me? Are my posts making it to the list? Armed with answers to those questions you can either solve the problem yourself, or ask the list or list admins for help. Asking the list admins is useful when you know your posts are not getting to the list. Our address is piclist-owner@mit.edu and we will get your message even if you can't post messages to the list.
