I have some code that requires a unique number to be inserted on each=20 device at a defined location in program memory. Since this is an=20 experimental need (e.g. these devices are likely to be reprogrammed a=20 number of times) and the devices are already being assembled=20 pre-programmed chips are not an option. The programmer I have close to hand is an ICD 3. I also have a pickit 2=20 somewhere (though I'd need to make an adaptor for it) and can probablly=20 lay my hands on a pickit 3 pretty easilly as well. If I can't do it with=20 any of these tools I may consider other options. Does anyone know of a software tool that can do this easily with the=20 hardware I have? or possiblly with other hardware if I can get it=20 easilly* and cheaply.I could possiblly do it using the program memory=20 window in MPLAB but this seems cumbersome and error prone. * Note that paypal is not an option for reasons I don't want to get into=20 here. --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
