Having you mentioned PADS, I would like to know how do you like it. I once tried to use it and found it awful. To me, Its UI lacks a lot of important menu options and dialog boxes. For instance, the only way I found to show/hide layers was in the dialog box to choose layer colors, very unfriendly and inefficient. P-CAD has two-key shortcuts to enable/disable up to 10 (customizable) groups of layers.
