I used 18F4550 with 10k pullup resistor.  Have not noticed any problems, po=

much more.  In my setup power supply was a standard 7505 regulator.  And, a=

others have mentioned, /MCLR should always be pulled up, unless you set MCL=
R=20
pin as input.=20

I am not sure if I tested this setup with ICD2 as I usually use ICD-40 from=
 CCS.=20
