I have been playing with this sensor for a while and found it quite
stable. It doesn't even require the lens listed as "required" at
vendors side and it has angle tolerance more than specified in the
datasheet. In fact it has tolerance up to %30-40 in the specified
wavelength response and can be driven from a distance of 2-3 meters if
diode is pumped with just a bit higher power.

Assuming voltage levels matched, I wonder if it can be driven by
Actel's IGLOO Nano Low Power FPGA's (AGLN010 for ex).I don't see why
not but it feels like I am missing a point or more.
