I applaud them. They really understand and care about=20 usability and human factors. They suggested Firewire to IEEE & TI, too. Power + high speed data on a=20 thin, flexible cable that's truly plug-and-play and can daisy-chain most=20 of the peripherals on the desktop. They forced USB into the market to achieve the same goal. Even Apple Desktop Bus did essentially the same thing for low-speed=20 devices.
