It's rather limited compared to other systems, but as a single developer I found it perfectly adequate, and it was beautifully simple to use compared to CVS etc. No integration with Explorer etc. is required and it provided command lines tools you could integrate into makefiles etc. >=20 > I've recently switched from VB 6.0 to C# on .net 4.0 for "odds and ends" > of windows programming, so I may look at version control etc on that. Before I did C in 1988 > or 1989 See this is a move I really don't want to make. I use VB6 all the time to create simple engineering test applications/GUI's etc. and whilst it certainly has it's limitations, it also has excellent debugging, runs nicely on older PC's and creates compact executables without a grossly bloated run time library. =20 IME C#/VB.Net development brings older PC's to their knees, the executables appears to run no faster than VB6, and slower in many cases and the .Net runtime is an absolute monster. The debugging is hit and miss, trying to move the execution point back and forward frequently results in a crash.
