I think Thunderbolt will kill off 800Mbps Firewire2 and USB3.0 I think Thunderbolt will join FCoE, eSata, 10G networking etc as fast=20 professional standard. But I could be wrong. It depends on Cost. Firewire was poorly adopted because of cost, though for speed of Storage=20 or Networking it made USB look poor.
