To the original poster, Don't let the people here scare you off. Everyone makes mistakes, and ther= e is a learning curve to every new endeavor. Some people learn faster than others, but that doesn't make you dumb or useless. It just means you aren't as far up the Learning curve as some others. So, take your time, ask questions, and try to absorb the information. In other words, learn. I do agree with Olin on at least one point. That is if someone asks you a question(s), reply with the answer so they can better Understand what it is you're looking for or trying to accomplish. People on this list are very helpful. But you should follow instructions t= o get the most out of their experience and willingness To help. Also, if you are a student, and you're trying to get someone on this list to do your homework or lab assignment for you, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. People here won't do homework or lab assignments for you for several reasons. But the two main=20 Reasons are (1) - You won't learn anything that way, and (2) - people here don't approve of cheating, again because you won't learn=20 Anything that way. So, if this is a homework or lab assignment, put forth an effort to at least try to write the program yourself. If you need help along the way, ask for direction or maybe how to accomplis= h a certain task, but if you ask someone to write the=20 program for you, you'll get very little help. This is my opinion of the general concensus of this list toward doing peoples work for them. If I am wrong, then correct me. But I believe that I'm not that far off. Bottom line, attempt the task yourself, write what you can, then ask for assistance for a specific problem. Just don't ask for=20 Someone (anyone) to do the whole job for you.
