I am starting my dissertation this year for my MSc in Forensic Computing an=

for my subject I have chosen to examine the SIM card used in mobile devices=

My plan is to use a PIC to provide the processing unit for the examination
of the data but step one is to establish an interface to the SIM card which
is safe both electrically and forensically.  The forensic bit I can deal
with but my electronics is rusty, at best, so I am hoping that someone migh=
t
be able to give me some pointers as to the best way to interface to the SIM
card taking into account that the SIM card standard provides for power of
1.8v, 3v and 5v.  Add to that the spec seems to indicate something like
crude diagram below.
