Hi guys, It seems I've really cheesed off the Gods of Electronics this week... or=20 my HP 16500B. One or the other. A few of you might be aware that it scrambled the 28C16 MAC address=20 EEPROM earlier this week. I pulled the EEPROM, reprogrammed it, and=20 reinstalled it. This worked fine until today, when I swapped the 504MB=20 hard drive for a CompactFlash card. The LAN card wouldn't respond, then=20 I power-cycled and got the "LAN Card EEPROM corrupt" message again. Except this time it's terminal. Pulled the chip from the socket -- data line D6 has become stuck low. So=20 a fully erased chip returns 0xBF... joy. Does anyone have a spare PLCC-packaged 28C16 EEPROM? This is a parallel=20 EEPROM in a 32-pin package, and was made by a ton of companies. I need=20 something 200ns or faster, ideally. The original part was a KM28C16J-20=20 (Samsung), although a Catalyst/ONSemi CAT28C16AGI, Atmel AT28C16 or=20 similar part should be fine. It seems these parts have become extremely difficult to find... :( Thanks, --=20 Phil. piclist@philpem.me.uk http://www.philpem.me.uk/ --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
