It's not as if LCD SVGA monitors are expensive or hard to find, either. =20 $25-$50 at the local state government surplus depot. They might have a frame or two of lag, but I doubt it matters. A CRT=20 will have potentially higher contrast and more updates per second (Not=20 uncommon to be able to push 120 frames/s into an SVGA monitor at an=20 appropriate resolution).
