thanks for your comments and input to my problem, it was very helpful. At
the end I decided to simply not use the EEPROM, means there are two softwar=
e
codes. I think, this is the easiest way, especially for nearly nobody needs
mode 2.
But I'll think very intensively before using EEPROM the next time.
