The gas meter communicates with the mated power meter only, at 2.4 GHz. The power meter is part of a mesh network at 900MHz. It talks to other meters in the neighborhood, and some of them talk to an area network concentrator. The whole thing is very very chatty and is pretty much in constant contact. What does it say on the face of your meter? Here they have the brand name (which is one of two brands, Landis + Gyr or GE) and tagged with Silver Springs Network with a few ID numbers. We could go to our account page and basically read out use in realtime, but I have not tried it yet.=20 Cheerful regards, Bob --=20 http://www.fastmail.fm - Accessible with your email software or over the web --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
