After going through some of the you tube video like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D0h8jHNu3BkQ I am actually confused: To achieve the same tip temperature, why the Metcal tip only needs 66% of t= he=20 max. power, while the compatible tip needs 81% of the max. power? Does it really means more power is passing through the tip and went to the= =20 solder joint, or is it simply the compatible tip was not efficient enough t= o=20 converting RF to heat and maintain the tip temperature? what's your 2 cents= ? Just adding a US brand on = it=20 and selling it through one of the largest distributor of the world.
