No, that's not normal, for the opener to open on power up, we have had=20 many outages, or even if I unplug the opener when servicing (for=20 safety), and plug it back in, there is no action. The point here, is=20 this is not only my house, but many others, where doors opened and=20 lights went on, and this had not been common previously. I do have=20 several lights controlled by X-10, they were not affected. I should also=20 note, that on this electric power branch from the substation, which=20 includes a loop that we are connected, the common connection is a single=20 2 wire primary > 120/240 volt AC 1 phase 3 wire + ground. Note that the open door, is dangerous with respect to intruders and=20 theft. Many have expensive tools/toys in their garage. Also it is common=20 for the garage to house door unlocked, with the locked doors only those=20 facing the outside.
