Non standard in use, but if that's OK, how about Twist-Lock power
connectors?

I've used related plugs for quite a while, there are VERY rugged (if you
get the Hubble branded ones, some of the clones aren't that great), and
VERY easy (once you get the hang of it) to plug in.
