Good engineers will not just blindly provide what it asked without understanding the context it is in and considering other ways to solve the problem. Often, most of the time even, people tend to suppose a particular solution when asking for something to be designed. The right answer is to step back and make sure the right problem is really being solved in the best way knowing what's possible, something the customer ofte= n doesn't know. People often ask for stupid stuff, so much so that it is often useful as a first assumption until shown otherwise. You haven't show= n otherwise yet. It is you who is on trial here, at least given the information you have provided so far. > Let me know if any of them work when the screensaver controls are > administratively locked out. This is the first you mentioned of that. It seems hard to believe there isn't another way to address this. Why are you locked out? What are they trying to prevent you from doing? Why are you trying to do something they don't want you to? If you have a legitimate reason, why can't they be convinced to let you adjust the screen saver? What's the big deal about th= e screen timing out anyway? I have mine set to 15 minutes I think. If it goes black when I haven't touched the keyboard for 15 minutes it's hardly a big deal. Worst case if I'm just looking at the screen without any typing = I only have to hit a key 4 times per hour to keep the screen on. Where's the big deal? > Wait! No need to question my intent... Wrong. There is every reason to question your intent until you can show what you are tyring to do is a reasonable approach. So far it just sounds silly. Maybe it's not, but then there must be more information you're not telling us. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
