I saw these kind of "answers" coming.  I guess I should have headed them=20
off.

Let me know if any of them work when the screensaver controls are=20
administratively locked out.

Wait! No need to question my intent... Since I also want to make a USB=20
"volume knob" from a rotary encoder!

Anyone with USB HID knowledge?
