The only thing is that MPLAB X has more modern GUI providing many advanced software development features. Hope they will speed it up for the final version. PICkit2 support was only my second concern, but yes, that would be very good to have. BTW: MPLAB works quite ok in Wine except the lack of USB support, therefore no PICkit2 again -- nor PICkit3 / ICD3.
