What I was talking about was when the plane was flying well above the ground. In your case the ground is so close that the plane pushes on the air, the ground pushes back on the air, and this effect gets back to the plane in time for it to "feel" it before it goes past. Basically the ground stops the air going down causing its pressure to increase, which in turn pushes u= p more on the plane than just the momentum of pushing the air down would if the plane were higher.
