Some two and a half years ago, Eneloops showed up at CostCo (a =20 US membership-based big-box retailer) at good prices, and I bought a =20 couple sets, since reports of performance were good and I was really =20 tired of dealing with rechargable batteries that were usually dead =20 when I went to use them (and frequently SO dead that they wouldn't =20 take a charge at all.) Today my wife's Magic Touchpad used up its first set of batteries, and =20 I decided that they should be replaced with NiMh. I found one of the =20 Eneloop packages, still sealed up. Opened it up and put a couple of =20 the cells in the touchpad. They worked! Not even a "low battery" =20 warning. That's beyond "very good." That's Amazing! I'm really impressed.
