Anybody? Actually I'm thinking of taking the serial method out of the problem of communicating with a a cheap uC. The basic idea being that these will be one off devices and possibly for hobbyist use. Just a way of getting additional IO for home automation. At this time I'm not certain how much intelligence I need only that I want it cheap but useful. I know that's vague, sorry.
