Fair point, but I think a "healthy" scepticism + a bit of humour (which=20 it is in my case - I certainly don't like to ridicule, can't speak for=20 others) is okay, and necessary in the pursuit of science (as, of course=20 is confidence to tread new ground, and not blindly stick to the beaten=20 path, not worry about looking foolish occasionally etc) I wish best of luck to them if they are genuine.
