Using two symbols as you suggest is not a terrible idea - but it would be utterly ambigious, or even completely invisible, to some. When the majority of my active devices had to get nice and warm before they would start to work, were also made of silicon, but only on the very outside, and almost invariably ran on hundreds of Volt and had Anodes as of right, then I used the two symbols in the way you suggest. I found it entirely unambigious. With time I've followed the herd, albeit at a distance, and now use 2 x parallel plats for everything, with an added "+" when it seems appropriate. Standards are fine enough , as long as people both know that they exist and use them.
