I was talking about the general case, not Solarwind's in particular. It seems that using flat symbols with no +- for unpolarized and curved with +- for polarized may not be everyone's convention, but it would be unambiguous to all, and therefore a good idea. In other words, avoid the curved symbol without explicity +- indication.
