Does anyone have a recommendation for an email server suitable for a small workgroup runable on Debian/Ubuntu/Mint Linux? I'm looking for something that is reliable and _simple_, hopefully works 'out of the box', and 'runs great, lasts long time'. ;) I don't want to become a sendmail admin. About a dozen users on a LAN. POP and SMTP minimum, IMAP and/or webmail interfaces a plus. Access is done locally LAN or VPN to the LAN, and no relaying in or out (confidential, non-public comm), so the needs are small. I don't think there is a requirement to view email on the server ala Pine or such and an ssh or telnet session, especially if a webmail interface is available, but I'm also not sure if that's automatically available regardless of the server package. I can see there are a lot of candidates out there, but hoping the group's experience can narrow the list a bit. Software isn't always as easy or reliable as 'advertised' once installed. Please give me your thoughts and experiences.
