Note that "Pro" version works with most cameras and lenses. If you
have super top end cameras and lenses you need the "Elite" version at
twice the price. Basis of this MAY be 'because they can and because
you probably will". List of cameras for each version is listed. eg My
A700 is in Pro version. A900 / A850 are in Elite.

- RAW and JPG processing. Appears (to me) based on their claims and
examples (always dangerous) to offer superior RAW conversion compared
to other market leaders. Claioms 2 stops gain on typical results. Some
of their examples of  Moire free processing with difficult images are
impressive.

- Allows good manual control of photo processing AND allows automation
of batch processing of photos.

- Seems to do magicish things with high ISO noise.

- Integrates DXO's free lens and camera optical correction software
modules to  correct for various known aberrations and characteristics
of a wide range of lenses and bodies.
(The results can be amazing and surprising - some optical distortions
are quite obvious in retrospect but not at all to the less initiated
eye/brain.
Because it "knows" about many actual lenses it can achieve results not
otherwise easily obtained.

- Claims to do things that nothing else available commercially does.
eg Anamorphosis volume correction for edge of image distortion .

- Provides HDR post processing (single image). This is of course
simply "clever" processing of existing image data  not true HDR. ).
This is achieved by eg local area processing for contrast and volume
to "optimise"each area. (My A700 does this in-camera with excellent to
terrible results - doing it post-processed allows more flexibility AND
doesn'tt slow shot to shot times. In camera has noticeable effect of
throughput in some cases.

- Offers upgrades to future V6.x products (they change to 7 when they
decide they need more $ :- ).
