Required= 3-phase power (yes for a mainframe printer) and if incorrectly phased the = LCD display told you so. It required 3 phase as it had an internal flywheel storage so when the powe= r was lost it had sufficient time to store away the current line number on = the page and any other relevant info onto a floppy disc. I don't think the = 3-phase was required otherwise. Mind you they were nice printers, came in 2500LPM and 5000LPM versions.
