Just wait for the heaters to warm up and it starts the 'procedure' by itself? If this problem is as common as it sounds, I wonder if they have a relatively high current drain from the battery that it discharges itself in an unhealthily short time? Or is it just that the battery has done so many years that it has done its stuff?
