Debt collecting companies have NO powers - all they can do is send threaten=
ing letters in the hope

If the other company is fraudulent you stand little chance of recovering fr=
om them - even if you
take them to Small Claims and get a judgement chances are they won't pay up=

Got to BT and politely tell them that you'd like to stay with them, but unl=
ess they waive all
charges you'll go elsewhere.
If they won't play ball, immediately cancel any DD mandate.=20
