I believe it is the author's point ("Linux is Inevitable") that people hack=

game consoles in order to "free" them, in other words to run their own=20
homebrew code or Linux apps. According to him, piracy is "collateral=20
damage". Some commenters argued that piracy is not a symptom, but the=20
primary motivator in most cases.
