Since the max range is only ~10cm, I can't see it affecting most current applications of Bluetooth.. looks like it's more aimed at applications such= as electronic money so your phone can interact to pay a vending machine or suc= h like... like the stored-value debit cards which are popular in Hong Kong, for example.
