I think the parts you are looking for can be bought from the German company Fischer.=20 I have had items that would match your description through Farnell, e.g. http://onecall.farnell.com/fischer-elektronik/bl11-254-45z/header-socket -2-54mm-45way/dp/9728864 but I know that I have bought the BL12 double row family from them (although I cannot find it at the moment). Another option is FCI Dubox top and bottom entry ones http://onecall.farnell.com/fci/71991-305lf/socket-2row-5way/dp/1097988?N tt=3D1097988 through to 109-7997 depending how many pins you want (Dubox family 71991-3xxLF). The mating headers listed are Dubox 77311-401-xxLF or 77311-818-xxLF. The Farnell numbers 968-9648 to 968-9710 for single row, and 968-9729 to 968-9800 for double row are surface mount versions. These are Tyco/AMP 124-1152 series receptacles. The page lists farnell 341-8297 (AMP 826629 family) as mating headers. Unfortunately I cannot find the really tall headers, which I think are what you are after. I know I have obtained them from Fischer, and I thought it was through Farnell.
