Which one would be a better solution for a VPN router?
Have only one Ethernet MAC connected to a switching chip (WAN on one vlan, =
LAN ports assigned to second vlan) or have 2 Ethernet MACs (1 connected dir=
ectly to a PHY used for WAN, other connected to a switching fabric and used=
 for LAN). WAN traffic will be lower than what a single port on the switchi=
ng chip can handle.
