..The following applies to standard NimH but I would expoect the same to
apply to low Deep cycling NimH will generally reduce lifetimes.


As a VERY rough rule of thumb if you discharge  only  say 25% of capacity
you will  get more than 4 times as many cycles. ie total lifetine mAh
delivered will rise.

With NiCd occasional full cycling helped reduce the much debated memory
effect but with NimH the "memory effect" is present but is  very very very
minor as to be insigniifcant.
