I read it as that the PIC18LF2450 actualy *is* the "USB-to-Serial
adapter". And there is no additional (bought) USB/RS232 adapter.

And the 18F8722 <-> 18LF2450 line uses the USART's to communicate.

Clearification needed probably... :-)
