About the only advantage to resonators is that they're a little cheaper and
mechanically more robust.  So you want to consider resonators in high volum=
e
designs or when there will mechanical vibration.  I use crystals too unless
there is a specific reason to use a resonator.  It's one more thing I don't
have to worry about.
