Tim B L didn't invent the internet= , he invented the web, or more specifically HTML and a browser to go with it. There is a big difference between the the web and the internet, which anyon= e doing computer development should know. As for Apple inventing the web, technically they didn't, but they did have something called "Hypercards" (I may be a little off on the name) that preceeded HTML but had some of the key concepts, including links between documents. I don't know how much TBL was aware of hypercards when he created HTML, but he should have been given the timing and the type of job he had. So I don't know how much TBL "invented" the web, versus his being the key set of improvements of a continuum that caused the whole thing to achieve critical mass. He was definitely a key contributor and had the right vision, but these kinds of things are rarely invented by individual people. Look at HTML now, and most of it would be unreconizable by TBL bac= k when he wrote his first browser. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
