It appears near terminally difficult to talk about the subject of ...
whatever ... on any scientific basis without all sorts of strange things
happening (no doubt caused by the Lorentz Butterfly). Being a sometime
glutton for punishment I'd like to provide a link to what appears to be a
writer with impeccable credentials presenting what appears to be  a soundly
 'scientifically based' well thought out summary of the subject with
particular references to climate models and the uncertainties in the scienc=
e
involved.

If replying to this on-list please try to keep responses science based,
civil, rational and observe other generally impossible guidelines.

        Richard Siegmund Lindzen (born February 8, 1940, Webster,
Massachusetts) is an American atmospheric physicist and Alfred P. Sloan
Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Lindzen is known for his work in the dynamics of the middle atmosphere,
atmospheric tides and ozone photochemistry. He has published more than 200

and/or receive benefit from their reduction in net CO2 release to the
atmosphere. I do not doubt thatthere is value in  CO2 reductions where they
are a "proxy" for the burning of fossil fuels or the use of fossil products
as chemical feedstocks (eg plastic production)  - the less we burn or
consume the more there may be left for our children's children. In all
related areas ALL I am interested in is the truth. I have no interest so
vested that I wish to be party to the generation of disinformation or the
