I have a couple of them here too, overpriced indeed but pretty good as=20 far as convenience and cleaning power go (according to the lady who=20 cleans for us, she prefers them to the Hoover we used to have apart from=20 the extra weight - they are quite heavy) The main feature that sold them IIRC (apart from the added suction and=20 less chance of blockage due to the Dyson suction system) when they came=20 out was that they are "bagless", so you just unclip the chamber and=20 empty that rather than having to mess around with paper bags. The fans seem more of a gimmicky thing compared to the vacuum cleaners=20 (no research to back this up, just a thought - have not actually checked=20 the fans out yet, so I *may* be doing them a disservice) as (IMHO) the=20 technology probably benefits them more than a simple fan. The price does seem ridiculous also - how hard is it to move a bit of=20 air from a to b? (and what's the big deal about "smoother" airflow=20 anyway?) For that kind of money you might expect some nubile young lady=20 to fan you with palm leaves.. Sure that won't stop some people from rushing out and buying them though=20 - in fact it will probably encourage them... :-) --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
