Only if there were no real engineers amongst the passengers.

SPARE cables ???!
Cables and 5 generators as spare parts would be very fine.
Even if they had no duct tape aboard ...

(My doctor daughter recounts a tale told by her university supervisor.
Flying somewhere they asked if there was a doctor aboard. He went to
respond - but was beaten to the punch by  about 70 emergency medicine
specialists travelling to a conference ! :-). True story).

Engineers are liable to be in shorter supply.
